꿈길에

옥색 한복 차림 내 아버지 저어만치 걸어가신다.

불볕더위 아지랑이 피어나는 성 뚝 길을 넘어

오이 밭을 지나고 넓은 목화밭을 지나

어릴 적 고기잡이 가던 그 길을 아버지 걸어가신다.

어깨 위에 걸머멘 투망이 힘겨워 보인다.

 

"찰카닥, 찰카닥 "

납덩이 부딪치는 소리만

걸음걸이 박자 되어 내 귀에 들려오고

꾸부정한 뒷모습만 바라보며 종종걸음 재개

한강 백사장까지 따라왔다.

 

모래사장 뙤약볕 눈부셔

잠시 눈감았다가 떴을 뿐인데,

내 아버지 어디 가셨나!

어디로 가셨나!

약속 없이 찾아온 친구의 방문

반가움 보다 머리 안이 복잡하다.

이름이 생각나지 않는다.

늙나보다.

"봄이 오는 소리가 들리지 않니?"

친구는 봄이 오는 소리를 듣고 있는데

이 몸은 늙는 소리를 듣고 있다니  

마음 흐트러지기 전에

봄맞이 대청소를 시작으로

봄의 교향곡까지 들어보련다.

새 힘을 내어보려고 벌떡 일어서지만

무릎 뼈마디가 비웃듯이 봄의 교향악을 들려준다.
